If anyone is in need of rescue or of serious medical attention send someone to the Command Post to get help. A Rescue squad will be dispatched and the seriously injured taken to the First Aid Station. If you do NOT need assistance attach the SHAKE flag to your mailbox.
If the fire is "camp size" extinguish it. If it is "door size" evacuate IMMEDIATELY and try to extinguish the fire ONLY if it is safe.
If you smell gas DO NOT light matches or candles or create sparks. DO NOT turn on ANY electrical device. Shut off gas at meter. If you are quite sure there is no gas leak do not shut off your gas.
Fill bathtubs and sinks. If need be shut off water at main valve. In any case assume that tap water is NOT drinkable.
Hang a white flag if your household does not need help. If you evacuate post your contacct information on your front door and turn off the electricity at the PG&E main switch/breaker. If you report to the Command Post bring safety glasses, gloves, masks, rescue tools, first and aid items. Post a note on the Bulletin Board describing your household situation.
Keep this plan near your front door along with the SHAKE flag.
